By car
From Munich, you can reach the Richterhaus in about 2.5 hours.
From Vienna or Prague, the journey takes about 3.5 hours.
There are charging stations for electric cars in Untergriesbach.
By train
Passau is served hourly by long-distance trains from Germany and Austria. From there, bus 6101 toward Obernzell/Breitenberg takes 30 minutes to Untergriesbach Marktstraße (cash only).
From there, it’s a further 30-minute walk to the Richterhaus. Alternatively, the on-demand bus 8102 runs from Untergriesbach marketplace to Scherleinsöd. You can book by phone (0851 - 75637-0) or via the DonauWald (VDW) app.
Please check the bus timetables before you travel.
Alternatively, you can take a taxi from Passau station to Scherleinsöd. Taxi-Zentrale Passau offers large-capacity taxis for up to 6 passengers.
By plane
You can arrive by rental car or train from the airports of Munich (180km), Salzburg (150km) or Prague (250km).
